The latest of those new additions was Gonzalez, with the Spanish midfielder becoming City's fourth signing of the January window after completing a £50m switch from Porto earlier this week.
Gonzalez was named in the starting XI as City travelled to Brisbane Road looking to book their place in the FA Cup fifth round.
With City still recovering from their worst run of form since his arrival at the club, Pep Guardiola made a number of forays into the transfer market as he looks to strengthen his squad.
With the game level after just 15 minutes, Gonzales received the ball in the centre of the pitch and was quickly set upon by Orient forward Sonny Perkins.
