Luke Shaw has returned to full Manchester United training in a huge boost for manager Ruben Amorim. Shaw, 29, has again endured an injury-hit campaign and has played just 98 minutes this season. The England international was spotted in training, alongside the exiled Marcus Rashford, as United prepare for their Europa League clash against FCSB in Bucharest on Thursday.

Amorim has often been forced to field Diogo Dalot as a makeshift left wing-back in his 3-4-3 system in the absence of Shaw. His return comes as United look set to seal the £33m signing of Lecce's Patrick Dorgu. Shaw's most recent game for the club came during the 4-0 win over Everton on December 1. All three of his appearances this season have come from the substitutes' bench.

Luke Shaw has been pictured training with Man United in a boost for manager Ruben Amorim. Shaw has endured another injury-hit campaign for United, who have struggled this season. His last start in any competition was for England in the European Championship final, which they lost to Spain.

Shaw played in Amorim's first game in charge - the 1-1 draw with Ipswich - after returning from another long injury lay-off. The match at Portman Road, where he came on with just over half an hour remaining, was his first for United since February. He had worked back to fitness to feature for England at Euro 2024 after a hamstring problem, but sustained a calf injury ahead of the new Premier League season.
