Atalanta’s in-form striker Mateo Retegui has attracted plenty of attention from the Premier League, with Arsenal and Manchester United already making contact over a possible move, according to reports.
Atalanta take on Club Brugge in the Champions League knockout play-off in Belgium on Wednesday night, with Retegui already scoring three goals in the group stage.
The Italy international signed for Atalanta from Genoa over the summer after scoring seven league goals last season, so he has been an greater hit than they could have been expecting.
His transfer value only grew last weekend as Atalanta beat Verona 5-0 away from home and their star striker scored four goals.
Atalanta paid Genoa €28m (£23.3m) for Retegui last summer and they would be charging interested parties a lot more than that if they come calling at the end of this season.
