Dwight Yorke has urged Manchester United to give Paul Pogba another chance, insisting the midfielder is ‘far better than what we have now’ in midfield.
Former United striker Yorke is not convinced any of the side’s current options are any better than Pogba and believes a short-term deal should be taken under serious consideration at Old Trafford.
I would give Paul Pogba a third chance, definitely, because of what United currently have and because of what we know he is capable of producing,’ Yorke told Casinobeats.com.
The France international, who left United in the summer of 2022, was handed a doping ban in February last year, with his four-year suspension cut to 18 months after the Court of Arbitration for Sport accepted his argument that he did not intentionally ingest a banned substance.
Rio Ferdinand has also urged United to at the very least invite Pogba to training to ‘have a little look’.
