Manchester United: Ruben Amorim uncertain over Marcus Rashford future as transfer deadline looms Ruben Amorim insists he is unsure if Marcus Rashford will be staying at Manchester United beyond the end of the current transfer window.
What has followed has been daily speculation on Rashford’s potential next move, having apparently rejected a big-money switch to Saudi Arabia amid plenty of rival interest in a midseason loan deal from across Europe, most notably in Serie A from the likes of AC Milan, Napoli and Juventus.
The England forward’s future has been arguably the most significant saga in the January market so far, having not played for United at all since December 12 amid an ongoing exile from the matchday squad and having last month gone public with his desire to seek a new challenge elsewhere.
Rashford is said to have rejected a move to Milan earlier this week, with his future still very much uncertain with less than 10 days now remaining until the transfer window closes for business until the summer.
He was again omitted from Amorim’s squad for Thursday night’s dramatic last-gasp Europa League win over Rangers at Old Trafford, while some reports have suggested that the player is willing to stay at United.
