Meghan Markle's true feelings on coming back to UK with Archie and Lilibet

Prince Harry is set to return to the UK in a matter of days, but he won't be joined by his wife or children. The Duke is due to travel to London from his US home to attend his forthcoming High Court trial against News Group Newspapers. And The Mirror exclusively revealed this week that Harry will be granted "limited" police protection for his February visit, after losing his legal battle for taxpayer funded security. It is understood that Harry was offered a place to stay at Buckingham Palace but turned it down.
As the update on Harry's security battle emerges, a leading royal expert has weighed in on whether the Prince will now feel more optimistic about future visits home with Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet - and his decision to turn down staying at a royal residence.
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said: "I think it is a PR mistake to turn down accommodation at Buckingham Palace, where security is guaranteed and already paid for. It seems unreasonable to expect police protection around a hotel just because he chooses to turn down a perfectly good offer of secure accommodation.".
Prince Harry has been challenging the February 2020 decision by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec), which ruled that he would no longer be entitled to the "same degree" of public-funded security when in the UK.
During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Harry is deeply concerned about the safety of his children, feeling they cannot be secure or comfortable in the UK without adequate protection. In a written statement, Harry had said: "It was with great sadness for both of us that my wife and I felt forced to step back from this role and leave the country in 2020. The UK is my home.".
