The 31-year-old bravely soldiered on after rupturing a hamstring tendon in her 100m hurdles heat in August, competing in the repechage round despite the injury making her take a huge fall when she hit a hurdle.

'I felt ready to run the race of my life, but unfortunately I fully ruptured one of my hamstring tendons in my heat which caused me to hit a hurdle and take a pretty big fall.
