Mikel Arteta said that the availability of David Raya is uncertain for Arsenal’s crunch Premier League clash against Manchester City on Sunday. Raya was not in the squad for the Gunners’s squad for their 2-1 victory over Girona in the Champions League on Wednesday — and now faces a nervous wait. The north London club will be sweating on his fitness after No2 goalkeeper Neto, who became Arsenal’s oldest debutant in 110 years, made a series of errors on Wednesday.

Ben White has yet to train with the squad and is ruled out. Arteta said: ‘Yeah, we are still uncertain (on Raya). We have another session tomorrow, another 48 hours, so we have to wait and see. ‘Ben is definitely out, he hasn't trained with us yet, so he's not going to be available. No others from the game against Girona.’. Mikel Arteta revealed he is still unsure as to whether David Raya will be fit to face Man City on Sunday.

The Arsenal No 1 goalkeeper missed the club's clash with Girona in midweek through injury. Ben White will play no part in Sunday's fixture as he continues his recovery from knee surgery. The last match between Arsenal and Pep Guardiola’s Man City, a 2-2 draw in September, saw a fractious aftermath. The relationship between the two bosses appeared strained after Arteta suggested he had ‘all the information’ about City's use of ‘dark arts’.
