Eddie Howe has confirmed Gordon should be fit for Newcastle’s trip to City, having responded well to treatment of late.
Newcastle will hope to have Anthony Gordon available for Saturday’s trip to Premier League champions Manchester City.
Dan Burn could also feature despite coming off against Birmingham with a thigh injury.
Jamaal Lascelles is a long-term injury absentee, while Harvey Barnes and Joelinton remain some weeks away from a return.
