Caleb Williams endured another miserable outing as Chicago Bears quarterback Thursday night - leaving fans convinced that he is destined to go down as a 'major bust' for the franchise. The Bears failed to score a touchdown during an uneventful 6-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks at Soldier Field, where they were booed off by fans after racking up 10 straight defeats.
It proved another night to forget for rookie Williams, who went 16/28 for just 122 yards while throwing an interception in his team's latest shortcoming. And after the horror show against Seattle, NFL fans piled in with some brutal criticism of the No. 1 draft pick; with some adamant that he will never cut it in the league.
One wrote on X: 'People keep trying to tell me Caleb Williams is good'. Another commented: 'Caleb Williams has the worst body language when things are going badly, that I’ve ever seen. Eli Manning literally did nothing but shrug his shoulders for his entire career, good, bad or indifferent'.
Caleb Williams endured another miserable outing for the Chicago Bears on Thursday night. Williams had 122 yards and failed to throw a touchdown pass in the Bears' 10th straight loss. 'Too emotional in tough situations,' a third user concluded. 'Not a good sign. Definitely not ice in his veins.'.
'Caleb Williams is a major bust, should’ve kept [Justin] Fields,' another fan claimed while referencing the Bears' former starting quarterback. A fifth asked: 'How was Caleb Williams ever hailed as some generational prospect? Undersized, can't hit a deep pass, not really a pure rushing threat... Sure, he had/has a few great traits, but is he special at anything but running around in the pocket?'.
