NFL fans appear to been in agreement that Tom Brady's hiring of Pete Carroll as the Las Vegas Raiders' head coach is not going to fix their problem on the field. On Friday, ESPN reported that the 73-year-old signed a three-year deal with a fourth-year option with the Raiders.

Carroll has spent the last year away from the NFL sideline after leaving his role with the Seattle Seahawks to be an advisor for the franchise. After the news surfaced, fans took to social media to express how the hire would not fix the team - suggesting that Carroll should stay retired.

'Not a good hire. he will be fired in 2 years,' one user wrote. 'Great! More passing when they should be running,' another added. NFL fans do not approve of the Las Vegas Raider hiring Pete Carroll as their new head coach. Carroll spent the last year away from the sideline after leaving his role with the Seahawks.

'Raiders ain't gonna do much then in the next few years,' a third chimed in. 'Legendary Coach but he should just enjoy retirement, crack open a few beers on NFL Sundays,' a fourth suggested. 'Raiders ain't gonna be a quick fix!'. 'Pete Carroll gonna look at that Raiders defense in disgust after what he had at Seattle,' a fifth user commented.

Carroll won the 2013 Super Bowl with the Seahawks - they beat the Denver Broncos 43-8 at MetLife Stadium. It remains the only Super Bowl in their history. He will be the oldest coach in the NFL next season, turning 74 in September, and inherits a team that endured an awful campaign under his predecessor Antonio Pierce, who was fired after a 4-13 season in Vegas.
