JACK LISOWSKI was cruelly denied his first-ever official 147 in over a decade with just one ball left. The snooker star was agonisingly close to a maximum break in the Championship League against Jak Jones. Lisowski, 33, won the first frame of the clash against Jones but could have done something special.
He potted the pink but got his shot wrong and left himself a difficult angle on the remaining black ball. He had the length of the table between the white and black and tried to pot the ball into the bottom right pocket. The WST commentator said: "Not another 140! Oh no, again!.
"This time, scuppered by a lack of position. If he knocks this in, good luck. "Oh, what do you do here? Any pocket, anywhere, it doesn't matter. It's got to go in. "Come on, Jack! There are six pockets.". Lisowski's effort was good but just not enough, as it hit the bumper and missed.

"Players are getting so close but can't quite apply the finishing touch.". Lisowski last managed an official 147 back in 2012 at the UK Championship. He did hit a maximum at the unsanctioned Macau Masters two years ago. He did go on to beat Jones 3-1 in the match.
