Paradise is an upcoming murder mystery and conspiracy series which will be launching on Disney+ in the UK on January 28. The series is set in a well-to-do community inhabited by some of the world's most prominent individuals. The synopsis explains how "tranquillity explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high stakes investigation unfolds". WDM Entertainment featured the show in its list of the best conspiracy shows coming in 2025.
The series features alongside the likes of The Night Agent season two, Black Mirror season seven and Missing You. The cast includes Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Aliyah Mastin and Percy Daggs IV.
Executive produced by Dan Fogelman, the trailer shows Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) the head of security for a president, questioned by law enforcement as part of an investigation into the death of his high-profile client. James Marsden plays President Cal Bradford, the murder victim, and Xavier was the last person to see him alive. One of the individuals interrogating Xavier is seen writing “Say yes” on her hand when she asks the head of security if he was partly happy the president was dead.
Viewers learn how Xavier is also a father-of-two, as he explains when he last saw the president alive. As the president is seen smoking, Xavier warns how cigarettes will kill him, to which he respons: "Yep, well, they can get in line.". From this, it appears the president is aware he has plenty of enemies who would be happy to see him suffer.
