‘One of the worst in the Premier League’ – Newcastle fans left unimpressed by new-look tunnel design NEWCASTLE have unveiled their new-look players tunnel - with fans quick to call it "one of the worst in the Premier League".
Newcastle players will have to wait to enjoy the new tunnel, though, as - having scraped past Birmingham in the FA Cup at St Andrew's - their next match is the Premier League clash away to struggling Manchester City.
Either side of the tunnel still has pictures of cheering fans, but now they're wearing the new kit - and there are far fewer of them, leading to a "calmer" feel.
The gold detailing on the "Howay The Lads" message - front-and-centre in the tunnel - has also been removed, leaving a purely black and white colour scheme.
One posted on X: "Honestly compared to other clubs tunnels, I think we may have one of the worst.".
