Detective Bea Metcalf (Laura Fraser) recognises Patience's talents and potential, recruiting her to help investigate serious crimes across York. The six-part Channel 4 drama is said to offer a "unique and authentic perspective on neurodiversity", with all neurodivergent characters portrayed by neurodiverse actors.
The first episode will air at 9pm on Wednesday (January 8) on Channel 4, followed by the second episode on Thursday (January 9) at 9pm, reports Yorkshire Live. Many viewers, tourists and locals alike, will be curious about where Patience was filmed. The crime drama was shot across York and Belgium in 2024, with initial filming taking place in Antwerp. According to the cast, most of the filming occurred in Belgium.
Ella Maisy Purvis expressed her excitement about working in Antwerp and learning about the local culture. She shared: "Antwerp, where most of the filming took place, was fantastic. I think about the food there almost daily. "On set they had this food truck that stayed all day, filled with so many snacks and drinks and the most amazing breakfast spread I've ever seen. It was all so incredibly European, with the freshest bread every morning - it was heavenly.
