The widowed husband of late TV presenter Paul O'Grady has lopped almost £1million off the asking price of their stunning rural mansion. The sprawling property hit the market for £3.5 million in September but sparked little interest from buyers. Now it is available for a much-reduced £2.65million.

O'Grady, who shot to fame as Lily Savage, had lived at Knoll Hill House near Ashford from 1999 until his death in March 2023 aged 67. The beloved TV personality died suddenly due to cardiac arrhythmia – though his husband Andre Portasio later confirmed he passed away peacefully while smoking a cannabis joint.

Since then, Andre had tried transforming part of the site - with two bids to convert a security hut slammed by nearby residents. Neighbours feared they would face a 'constant stream' of visitors if the building was overhauled into a holiday let. The husband of the late TV presenter Paul O'Grady has lopped almost £1million off the asking price of their stunning rural mansion (pictured).

It comes with a sprawling 20 acres of land, boasts impressive views of the Romney Marsh in Kent and has previously been described as 'the kind of house you’d find in one of those Enid Blyton books”' by O'Grady's former partner Brendan Murphy, who died in 2005.
