Phillip Schofield looked glum as he put his bins out at his London home on Wednesday morning. The former This Morning presenter, 62, who stepped down from the ITV show last May following an 'unwise' affair with a junior colleague, cut a very casual figure in a Jack Wills hoodie and a pair of blue denim jeans. It comes hours after as former best pal and This Morning co-star Holly Willoughby made her Netflix launched her new show Celebrity Bear Hunt alongside Bear Grylls at London's Odeon West End on Tuesday.

Holly, 43, looked incredible as she hit the star-studded red carpet in a gorgeous black plunging gown as she returned to screens for the new show after taking a break from TV following her departure from the ITV daytime show. She showed off her elegant style in the sleek £1,800 number by London-based designer David Koma which featured velvet detailing and was teamed with matching simple heels to boost her height.

The new Netflix series was filmed in the Costa Rica jungle with Holly hosting while Bear put a number of celebrities through their paces, those who fail to impress will face the dreaded 'Bear Hunt' - a brutal game of cat and mouse where they'll be hunted down by Bear himself and, if captured, face elimination from the show. While Holly is reviving her career with the adventure Netflix role, Phillip recently tried to return to the spotlight on Channel 5's Cast Away.

In his survival challenge, he was isolated on an island close to Madagascar for 10 days without 'food or water' and during the show, he also took a swipe at Holly after she distanced herself following his This Morning exit. At the time Holly addressed Phillip's ITV departure, she said: 'Hello, Firstly, are you okay? I hope so. It feels very strange sat here without Phil.'. Appearing to reference the now-famous speech on Cast Away, Phillip was seen having a BBQ with his family before heading off to the island.

He gives out food to his wife Stephanie and their daughters Molly, 31, and Ruby, 28, and laughs: 'If you're ok, then we're ok, and I'm ok... are you ok?'. Holly and her former Dancing On Ice and This Morning co-host Phillip were once close pals both on and off the screen. However, the pair, who worked side by side for 14 years, had a major falling out after Phillip admitted to lying about an 'unwise but not illegal' affair' with a 20-year-old runner on the ITV daytime show.

While both ended up leaving This Morning, matters seemed to escalate with their fractured relationship when Holly released a statement saying she had felt 'hurt' by his 'lies'. Phillip looked very downcast as he rolled up his blue jumper sleeves as he took the rubbish out. The ex TV star tucked his reading glasses into his hoodie. It is not known what Phillip has coming up next as he has been keeping a very low profile.

Phillip is also said to have called her 'The Witch' following the pair's departure from their presenting roles. Tensions between the pair reached further heights when Phil boldly declared there were 'three s**ts' at ITV on his Channel 5 show Cast Away. Phil has also severed more ties within the TV industry as Holly's husband Dan Baldwin, who co-owns the production company Hungry Bear, responsible for shows such as Gladiators and Michael McIntyre's Big Show is 'furious' with Phil.

A source told MailOnline: 'The friendship between Holly and Phil is well and truly over, there is no way she is going to speak to him again after this. 'Holly's TV producer husband Dan is also furious about Phil's behaviour towards her. 'From rumours he refers to her as 'the Witch' in messages with friends to his barbed jibe about the 'three s***s in showbiz' in his Channel 5 show Cast Away, Dan has well and truly had enough.'.

MailOnline contacted Holly's representatives at the time for comment. Phillip left This Morning in May 2023 following months of speculation about a breakdown in his relationship with Holly. He then admitted to having an affair with a junior colleague and left ITV altogether. While Holly is reviving her career with the huge Netflix role, Phillip recently tried to return to the spotlight on Channel 5 's Cast Away.
