Prince Andrew appeared solemn as he was seen out for a drive on Boxing Day - after deciding to opt out of festive celebrations at Sandringham with his family. The royal, 64, seemed forlorn as photos showed the King's younger brother behind the wheel on Thursday afternoon.
Another passenger was seated next to him, but it is understood not to be his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson - who was by his side yesterday as the disgraced duke kept his distance from the traditional royal Christmas walk. The pair were on Wednesday spotted driving around Windsor as other prominent royals joined in Norfolk to walk and speak to fans.
The Prince voluntarily agreed to pull out of the celebrations at Sandringham with Fergie, MailOnline revealed last week. Amidst the alleged Chinese spy scandal that Prince Andrew is linked to, Fergie is thought to have influenced her ex-husband's decision to not attend.
She enjoyed the family's festivities last year for the first time since 1992. Elsewhere the Duchess of York yesterday shared her own Christmas message thanking everyone for their kindness and support this year as she walked the late Queen's corgis.
