Queen Mary of Denmark has wished royal fans a 'peaceful and Merry Christmas' as she posed alongside her family for a festive portrait on Instagram. The royal, 52, appeared to be in high spirits as she posed next to her husband, King Frederik and their four children, Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.
She opted for a chic winter ensemble, donning a cream turtleneck jumper and chose to wear her brunette tresses down in a wavy blow-dry. Her mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe, 84, was also included in the heartwarming image. The former monarch put her best fashion foot forward, donning a pink and grey tartan patterned jacket, olive green jumper and maxi skirt, along with a pair of black chunky loafers.
She wore her grey strands up in a sleek bun along with silver earrings which matched her glitzy brooch. Fredrik's mother beamed as she looked admiringly at her grandchildren. The portrait was posted on their official Instagram with the caption: 'From Marselisborg Castle, where the royal family is now gathered, we wish you a peaceful and happy Christmas.'.
