Outgoing University of Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders has met with three prospective teams which could select him in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. Sanders is in Texas this week for the East-West Shrine Bowl - a college football equivalent of an All-Star game where players get another shot of proving themselves in front of the eyes of pro scouts.
But Sanders will not be participating. Instead, he's down in the Lone Star State to meet with a number of teams who are interested in picking him. According to ESPN, Sanders has already met with the teams that hold the top three picks in the draft: the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants.
All three teams have potential needs at quarterback that could be filled. The Titans are helmed by Will Levis, who has not exactly lived up to expectations since he took over from Ryan Tannehill last season. Earlier this season, he was benched for Mason Rudolph.
Shedeur Sanders met with the Titans, Browns, and Giants at this year's East-West Shrine Bowl. Titans coach Brian Callahan praised Sanders saying he's 'knows how to handle' the spotlight. Sanders finished in the top-ten in Heisman voting and was a top QB in college football.
Speaking to ESPN, Titans head coach Brian Callahan said of Sanders, 'He's really poised and had a mature way about him. You can tell he's been in the spotlight and knows how to handle it.'. The Browns just re-structured the deal of quarterback Deshaun Watson, who was injured for a majority of the season. Jameis Winston took over for him, but it's possible that the team returns to Watson next year.
