Roy Keane has blasted a 'shocking' and 'boring' Manchester United team for their first half showing against Leicester. Ruben Amorim's men failed to have a shot on target in the first half at Old Trafford, with the visitors, who are in the relegation zone in the Premier League, going into the break 1-0 up through Bobby De Cordova-Reid's strike. It was a follow-up to what has been a poor run for the Red Devils, who have struggled for form since Amorim took over from Erik ten Hag late on last year.

They have scored just two goals in their last three Premier League matches, with Rasmus Hojlund without a Premier League goal since early December yet getting the nod on Friday night. Kobbie Mainoo played up front against Crystal Palace, suggesting Amorim isn't best pleased with his forward options, but that plan soon died out too. Former United captain Keane, meanwhile, speaking on ITV' coverage of the game, didn't hold back in his analysis of his former side.

'It has been shocking, really really poor,' Keane began. 'They are boring now. 'They should remind the players in the dressing room what the game is about. There is a goal that end. No energy, there is no energy in the stadium, they are waiting for something to happen. 'A lack of confidence, the urgency, giving it away cheaply. I just look at it from a United point of view and I’m thinking, "My goodness, is this what its come to?" Nowhere near good enough.'.
