RUBEN AMORIM hauled Joshua Zirkzee off after just 33 MINUTES against Newcastle... and the Dutchman received cheers from Manchester United fans as he was replaced. The Red Devils fell 2-0 down inside 20 minutes at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Alexander Isak and Joelinton.

Man Utd boss Amorim was playing Zirkzee as an attacking midfielder behind Rasmus Hojlund. But he had seen enough before half-time as he made the decision to replace him with Kobbie Mainoo. And Man Utd legend Gary Neville was sympathetic towards Zirkzee.

He said: "I actually feel sorry for him, I really do. "I know that he's earning a lot of money but there's a human being in there that's basically being cheered off by his home fans and that is brutal. "We've not seen that too many times at Old Trafford. 43 years I've been coming here.".
