Sam Fender is gearing up to perform in Portugal for the very first time as he joins the 17th edition of Nos Alive. The huge music festival will return later this year as world-famous artists join the bill. Indie star Sam Fender will swap his Newcastle roots for the beaches of Lisbon as he will take to the Nos Stage with his brand new album. The three day event, which is held at Passeio Marítimo de Algés, will welcome Sam to Portuguese fans for the first time.
His new album People Watching will be released next month. Following on from his debut album Hypersonic Missiles (2019) and Seventeen Going Under (2021), Sam has toured across the UK at summer festivals and sell out stadiums as he became one of the most celebrated and successful British musicians of his generation.
Sam will be joined by indie rock trio Bright Eyes, as they become the latest confirmation for Nos Alive 2025. The North American band founded by Conor Oberst will also perform for the first time in Portugal on the festival's Heineken Stage. Nos Alive's headliners already include Olivia Rodrigo and Kings of Leon.
They will perform alongside huge acts including Noah Kahan, Benson Boone, Glass Animals, Girl in Red, St. Vincent, Foster the People and Amyl and the Sniffers. Last year, Glastonbury headliner Dua Lipa graced the stage alongside fellow headliners Arcade Fire and Pearl Jam.
165,000 attended the event, which is held across seven stages. The festival was founded back in 2007 and is known for attracting world-class acts. Previous performances have come from Arctic Monkeys, Da Weasel, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sam Smith, Grace Jones, Arlo Parks, Metallica, The Weeknd, Stromae, Jorja Smith, Rage Against The Machine, Radiohead, Florence + the Machine, Green Day, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan.
