SEN boss Craig Hutchison says he 'stands behind' the controversial decision to stand down veteran cricket commentator and journalist Peter Lalor in the middle of Australia's Test series against Sri Lanka.
SEN boss Craig Hutchison has doubled down on his decision to axe Lalor during Australia's Test series against Sri Lanka.
Reflecting on the events leading up to the decision, Hutchison revealed that Lalor's freelance contract had previously expired but the station had asked him to work during the Sri Lanka series, noting that he had been in the subcontinent.
In a statement issued last week, station chief Hutchison stated that he had spoken to Lalor about the commentary on his social media feeds.
Lalor has subsequently responded to the comments made by Hutchison, stating: 'The implication he makes in the podcast is misleading and disappointing'.
