Sir Alex Ferguson was spotted yawning during the Man United's FA Cup clash with Leicester, after the club's former captain Roy Keane had branded the team 'boring'. The legendary Man United boss was picked out in the stands during the second half of the fourth round match at Old Trafford. The hosts were seeking a winner against the Foxes, after Joshua Zirkzee had equalised for Man United following Bobby De Cordova-Reid's first half opener.

As the cameras showed Ferguson on screen, sat next to his long-term friend Sam Allardyce, the 83-year-old was seen yawning. 'Sir Alex Ferguson is looking a bit tired,' ITV co-commentator Lee Dixon said in response. Commentator Sam Matterface then added 'I hope he will be able to stay up for extra time, as we might well get it'. 🥱#MUFC | @EmiratesFACup pic.twitter.com/9oDVrMuGHx. Man United were ultimately able to avoid extra time with Harry Maguire heading in an injury-time winner from a Bruno Fernandes free kick. Maguire's effort proved controversial with the centre back having scored from an offside position. Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy slammed the decision post-match, labelling it 'offside time rather than ‘Fergie time’ in a reference to his former Man United boss.

Another of Ferguson's former players Keane had slammed his old side for their performance during the first half of the tie. Keane speaking on ITV's coverage of the match, labelled Man United as 'shocking' and 'boring'. 'It has been shocking, really really poor,' Keane began. 'They are boring now. 'They should remind the players in the dressing room what the game is about. There is a goal that end. No energy, there is no energy in the stadium, they are waiting for something to happen.

'A lack of confidence, the urgency, giving it away cheaply. I just look at it from a United point of view and I’m thinking, "My goodness, is this what its come to?" Nowhere near good enough.'. Despite winning the tie, Man United's performance against the Foxes was questioned. Keane took aim at his former side at half-time, labelling their display 'shocking' and 'boring'. Despite going on to win the tie, Keane continued to express concern over their display at full-time.
