Sir Rod Stewart has shared a snap of him and his family wearing Celtic football shirts ahead of the rocker's 80th birthday on Friday. The singer took to Instagram to post the group shot which showed the clan posing on some steps on Sunday night. The 79-year-old added the caption, 'Early birthday celebrations', and also tagged his beloved Celtic Football Club in the social media story.
Stewart looked laid back in a green and white horizontal-striped replica Celtic football shirt and a crossbody bag with a black strap. The Maggie May singer was sporting his signature spiky blond locks in the snap and had a pair of red rectangular glasses tucked into his collar.
Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster, 53, was also wearing a Celtic top, pairing it with tight white shorts and a white cap adorned with a black X. The singer's son Sean, 44, joined the group wearing a white vest - which showed off his striking tattoos on his right arm - a green and blue tartan kilt and a matching cap. He completed the look with a green and white striped replica Celtic scarf and had his arm around new girlfriend Julia Stambler, who was sporting a black vest.
