Hollyoaks viewers were forced to do a double-take after Stacey Solomon’s two teenage sons made a surprise appearance. Zachary, 16, who the 35-year-old TV favourite shares with ex Dean Cox, and Leighton, 12, whose dad is her ex fiance Aaron Barham, made their acting debut in the Channel 4 soap on Tuesday.
The official Hollyoaks Instagram account shared a picture of them posing with fellow castmates Charlie Clapham and Charlie Wernham, alongside stills of them acting, plus, a clip of them making their big arrival in the Hollyoaks village. Zachary played a Parcel Patrons worker who was delivering a fruit package at convenience store Price Slice, where he bumped into Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe).
He found himself facing the wrath of shop manager Pearl Anderson (Dawn Hope), who berated him for not bringing the perishable stock earlier. Meanwhile, Leighton didn’t fare much better, assuming the role of a paperboy who got a ticking off after he was late to deliver his papers.
“Oh late Leighton, what time do you call this to be collecting papers? I'll be having a word with your mother. Go on.” she chided the lad. Hollyoaks didn’t give too much away with their accompanying caption, simply opting for the eyes emoji, which resulted in fans begging to know in the comments whether they were joining the cast full-time.
