Christina Haack and her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, came to an emotional conclusion while reflecting on their messy divorce that took place seven years earlier. The TV personality, 41 - who recently opened up about her ex Josh Hall's 'jealousy' - got candid on the topic of their split with El Moussa, 43, during the series premiere of their new HGTV series The Flip Off on Wednesday, per People. The pair could be seen sitting next to each other at Christina's residence in Newport Beach and talked about how their relationship 'imploded' after seven years of marriage.

Haack and El Moussa tied the knot in 2009 but split in 2016 following an altercation with Tarek fleeing with a gun and entering rehab. Their divorce was officially finalized in 2018. 'I know we're in a good place now,' she told her ex. 'But yeah, we went through a lot of stuff. I don't think anyone understands just how much stuff we went through. We met when we were so young.'. The former couple first crossed paths in 2005 when Christina was 22-years-old, and El Moussa was 24.

She emotionally continued, 'When our stuff imploded, I felt like not only did I lose… we were best friends, but also I felt like I lost like, I need to be a full-time mom. And that really, really, really hurt me a lot and really affected me.'.

After saying 'I do' in 2009, the HGTV stars welcomed two children: daughter Taylor, 14, and son Braydon, nine. Haack is also mother to son Hudson, whom she shares with ex Ant Anstead. Tarek also welcomed another child named Tristan, two, with wife Heather Rae El Moussa. He then responded to Christina with, 'I understand that feeling of being a little bit lost. And I acknowledge that I'm a big part, if not the entire part, of all of this.'.

With her voice cracking, Haack said, 'I'm really sorry for s**t. I really am. I just want you to know that.'. The star asked Tarek if he forgives her, and he also emotionally responded with, 'A hundred percent, yeah.'. 'Promise?' she questioned, and he replied while reaching out towards her, 'A hundred percent. I did a lot of things too. I hold zero against you.'. El Moussa became visibly emotional when Christina added, 'You're a great dad. I'm really proud of you. You've come a really long way. I can see it, you know. You're so much calmer, you're so much wiser, for real.'.

He then responded to Christina with, 'I understand that feeling of being a little bit lost. And I acknowledge that I'm a big part, if not the entire part, of all of this'. 'Promise?' she questioned, and he replied while reaching out towards her, 'A hundred percent. I did a lot of things too. I hold zero against you'; former couple seen in 2017. In a confessional during the episode, Tarek explained, 'I got diagnosed with cancer and then I hurt my back. I lost 60 lbs. because I was taking so many opiates and Vicodin and painkillers.'.

He admitted, 'I lost my way, lost who I was. I just wasn't the best husband. I wasn't the best father. You know, I own my s**t. It wasn't me, but it was me.'. Christina also added that during their marriage, El Moussa 'didn't always treat me right, and he'll admit that.'. 'Tarek was more focused on work than his family. When we split up, it's like it forced him to be like, oh, I have to be present for these kids.'.

During the same conversation, Haack also opened up to Tarek about the end of her relationship with Josh Hall. The pair tied the knot in 2022, but announced their shock split last year in July 2024. She expressed that 'moody' Hall was insecure when it came to her relationship with El Moussa, adding that his jealousy had been an issue. 'You make him very insecure,' Christina said to Tarek. 'Every time we would barely joke at soccer, or if I laughed at you, he would not speak to me for like two to three days. I would get the silent treatment.'.

Hall was initially set to additionally appear in the new HGTV series, The Flip Off, but exited production following the split. 'Tarek was more focused on work than his family. When we split up, it's like it forced him to be like, oh, I have to be present for these kids,' she said; seen above with ex Josh and her three children: Taylor, Braydon and Hudson. While recently talking to People, Christina revealed that her ex Tarek was not surprised about the end of her nearly three-year marriage to Josh.

She explained to the outlet that she had talked to both El Moussa and wife Heather about the divorce. 'They were aware that there were issues and it's something that we had to sidebar on in regards to how all of us were going to handle even filming with Josh because there was already some difficulty there.'. 'So they weren't surprised. And they were also very, very supportive,' the reality star continued.
