Polyphenol antioxidants are one of the food categories that come top of the list. The natural plant compound works by increasing the GLP-1 hormone and is found in everyday foods like apples, spinach and asparagus. Polyphenols work by stimulating the L-cells in the gut to increase our natural secretion of GLP-1 to slow gastric-emptying and stimulate fullness.
