The world of showbiz was left stunned by the tragic news of The Vivienne's death at the weekend. The 32-year-old drag artist, whose real name was James Lee Williams, rose to fame on Ru Paul's Drag Race UK. Now, as tributes pour in, one pal has urged followers on social media to check in on their friends regularly.

I'm A Celebrity star Dean McCullough took to his Instagram account to share his devastation at the news. Alongside images of the pair together, the Radio DJ wrote: "I'm lost for words. Check in on your mates. Tell your people you love them. The sky is a lot more sparkly tonight with our Viv up there. I'll miss you girl. Love you.".

While Dean turned off the comments on his touching post, over 11,000 followers had hit the like button. On Sunday, The Vivienne's friend and publicist, Simon Jones, confirmed the sad news on social media. In a statement, they said: "It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved James Lee Williams - The Vivienne, has passed this weekend.

"James was an incredibly loved, warm- hearted and amazing person. Their family are heartbroken at the loss of their son, brother and uncle. They are so proud of the wonderful things James achieved in their life and career. We will not be releasing any further details. We please ask that James's family are given the time and privacy they now need to process and grieve.".

Other stars to pay tribute to the star included Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts, who wrote: "Omg! I can't believe this. This is heartbreaking news," alongside a broken heart emoji. Union J singer Jaymi Hensley shared a snap with The Vivienne writing: "I actually can't believe this! When we took this photo little did we know there would only be three of us left. my darling @ollymarmon please welcome our beautiful James @thevivienne_ into heaven! Look after each other , this is too much for my heart to handle! The scales of better people being up there then here has now well and truly changed.".
