Tom Holland’s father confirms Zendaya engagement: He was well prepared

Tom Holland’s father has confirmed his son is engaged to Zendaya as he detailed how “incredibly well prepared” the actor was ahead of the proposal. Dune actress Zendaya, 28, sparked speculation she was set to wed Holland, also 28, after debuting a sparkling diamond on her ring finger at the Golden Globes on Sunday.
Comedian Dominic Holland put the rumours to bed in a blog post on Friday where he contrasted how his son approached his proposal to how he handled his to Tom’s mother Nikki. In the post on his Patreon account, Dominic wrote: “Tom, as you know by now was very incredibly well prepared. He had purchased a ring.
“He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. “Tom had everything planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear…. “I on the other hand was woefully ill-prepared, almost as though I wasn’t taking it seriously.”.
He also noted for most men the stress of purchasing an engagement ring is being able to afford it, but for his son he suspects he was “more concerned with the stone, its size and clarity, its housing, which jeweller”. The Hollywood stars have been romantically linked since 2021 after starring opposite each other in Marvel superhero film Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Tom’s father admitted he has worried about how the spotlight could put strain on their relationship, saying: “I do fret that their combined stardom will amplify their spotlight and the commensurate demands on them and yet they continually confound me by handling everything with aplomb.”.
