Tottenham could be without the services of James Maddison for up to three weeks due to injury, according to report. The England international missed Spurs' 2-1 defeat by his former club Leicester on Sunday because of 'soreness' following the side's midweek win over Hoffenheim.

Ange Postecoglou was asked about the midfielder's absence following the loss to the Foxes and he said he hoped Maddison 'should be alright for next week'. However, according to journalist Paul O'Keefe, he could be sidelined for almost a month. The report claims that Maddison has a calf issue which will put him out for two to three weeks.

This would add his name to a remarkable list of absentees, which include the likes of Micky Van de Ven, Christian Romero, Brennan Johnson and Dominic Solanke. Maddison could be set to miss Tottenham's crunch Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool at Anfield on February 6.

James Maddison could reportedly be sidelined for up to three weeks with a calf issue sustained during Tottenham's win over Hoffenheim last week. The midfielder was absent from the Spurs squad that was defeated by Premier League strugglers Leicester City.

Ange Postecoglou has had to make do without many of his first team stars this term due to injury. Defeat in that game could spell the end for Postecoglou, who has come under immense pressure following his side's dismal run in the Premier League. Spurs' loss to the Foxes was their eighth in their last 10 Premier League matches, a run which has produced only one win. Tottenham find themselves in 15th place, just eight points above the relegation zone.
