Both Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham supporters will indeed be hoping that nothing has changed ahead of their semi-final showdown against Liverpool. The 59-year-old won the Australian title with both South Melbourne and Brisbane Roar and the Japanese league with Yokohama F Marinos - all in his second season in charge.
Postecoglou also won the Asian Cup two years after becoming Australia boss - and the Scottish championship in both seasons with Celtic. But continuing that record this season looks a tough ask. To win the Carabao Cup, Tottenham will have to navigate their way past Premier League leaders Liverpool, who've lost only once this season and arrive having won 6-3 in this fixture just before Christmas.
Spurs are also dealing with an ongoing injury crisis with up to ten key first-team players unavailable, including defenders Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Ben Davies and Destiny Udogie. New goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky has now received his work permit meaning he could go straight into the team against Liverpool, but given the quick turnaround, Postecoglou may stick with Brandon Austin.
