Known for it’s whitewashed towns and picturesque white sand beaches, the island is thought to be the inspiration for Homer’s Odyssey. At the same price of £28pp per night, you can spend your time roaming the cobbled streets and soaking up 17th century history, taking boats to hidden coves or catching rays by the sea.
Djerba is perhaps best known for its stunning white-sand beaches and azure waters, and is often called the ‘island of a thousand palm trees’. However, aside from its coastlines, Djerba boasts a rich cultural and art scene. One of its main attractions is ‘Djerbahood’, an open-air art museum in the village of Eriiadh.
