Taylor Swift barely waited for the AFC Championship Game to end before she warned boyfriend Travis Kelce to be on his best behavior during his Super Bowl trip and stay away from certain vices in New Orleans. The happy couple has shared plenty of stories in their year-plus of dating, including Travis' past mistakes that involve the Big Easy.
That includes a 2010 suspension from the Cincinnati Bearcats' football team after a positive test of marijuana. Cincinnati was in New Orleans to face the Florida Gators in the Sugar Bowl. The Bearcats were 12-0 heading into the matchup, and Kelce wads forced to not play after the NCAA performed drug tests. History seemingly will not repeat itself.
'Take me back to my old New Orleans home. I owe New Orleans a little something,' Kelce said to Swift and his mother, Donna Kelce, on the field at Arrowhead Stadium after securing a place in the Super Bowl. 'Yeah, no going to Bourbon Street,' Swift retorted.
Taylor Swift warned Travis Kelce about behaving himself during the Super Bowl in Louisiana. Swift is referring to a past failed drug test from Kelce during his college days in New Orleans. 'Yeah, I won’t be having as much fun that night,' Travis replied.
Kelce also stated he would not be having an '[hand] grenades' while in New Orleans. The drink is made of vodka, rum, gin and melon liqueur, and designed to intoxicate someone quickly due to the mix of liquors. Kelce has spoken out about his failed drug test since the incident 15 years ago, later crediting older brother Jason Kelce for getting him straight when he considered giving up football after the suspension.
