Trent Alexander-Arnold has admitted Mohamed Salah is in possession of a video of the Liverpool defender which “can never come out”. The combination of Alexander-Arnold and Salah on Liverpool’s right flank has devastated opponents since the Egyptian arrived in 2017, with much of the side’s attacking success being down to the duo’s talents.
They have managed to clinch every major honour in club football during that time and are set to achieve glory again this season, leading the Champions League and Premier League tables going into the New Year. It may not come as a surprise then that the pair get on as well off the pitch as their on-pitch chemistry suggests, with Alexander-Arnold confirming that he’s even closer to the forward than team-mate Dominik Szoboszlai. The right-back told Stadium Astro: "I'd say Mo if I'm honest. I'd say me and Mo.
“Just how long we've known each other and how long we've played together, our bond and connection, especially on the pitch. Even though we could so many times, we never moan at each other. We just know each other's style of play.". The Englishman also revealed that he often visits Salah’s house for tea but never cooks himself, before adding that the goalscorer once filmed a humiliating video of him during one of his visits.
“Last time I went I was petrified,” Alexander-Arnold said. “He’s got cats and I don’t like cats. He’s got a video which I’ve told him can never come out. It can never come out. “He’s basically got a video of me screaming because one of his cats jumps up near me and I’m screaming, like ‘Mo, help, help!’”.
