TYSON FURY has fallen down the WBO heavyweight rankings following a second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk. Fury was ranked No1 in the organisation when he challenged for Usyk's WBO, WBA and WBC belts in December. But just like in their first fight in May, Usyk emerged with a points victory following another Saudi Arabia showdown.

As a result, Fury finds himself ranked No3 in the WBO's ratings. The Gypsy King is still No1 with the WBC but he is not even ranked by the WBA. Fury, 36, was beaten by Usyk, 37, via split-decision in May before losing a unanimous verdict last month. Now, attention has turned to an all-British blockbuster with Anthony Joshua, 35, who was knocked out by Daniel Dubois, 27, in September.

And AJ's promoter Eddie Hearn revealed Dubois and Fury are the only names they are focusing on in 2025. He told iFL TV: “For us, there’s only two fights we're interested in: Daniel Dubois rematch and Tyson Fury. “He’d [AJ] love another chance to become world heavyweight champion.

“So, once the dust settles, I guess it’s up to me and Frank and the guys. "Right now, I doubt that Fury is thinking about fighting again or fighting AJ. "He’s still p***ed off, and he’ll go away and spend time with his family. I mentioned two names for us. Tell me two names for Tyson Fury. There’s only one.”.
