Vicky Pattison has been criticised for creating her own deepfake porn video for a new Channel 4 documentary My Deepfake Sex Tape. An abuse victim has condemned the star's decision, branding the move 'deeply disrespectful' and a 'PR stunt'. In the new series, which will air next week, the former Geordie Shore star, 37, has fully immersed herself into the world to properly understand the violation of image-based abuse.

Deepfake porn is the latest in a long line of methods of sexual abuse of women online and Vicky has now got involved in this rapidly evolving violation of privacy. According to The Sun, deepfake image abuse survivor named Jodie has criticised Vicky's choice to create the porn video and claimed campaign groups 'strongly advised' against the idea.

Jodie said: 'As a survivor of synthetic intimate image abuse, I feel deeply offended, let down, and disappointed by Channel 4’s decision to create and distribute a ‘deepfake’ video of Vicky Pattison for her upcoming documentary. An abuse victim has condemned the star's decision, branding the move 'deeply disrespectful' and a 'PR stunt'. 'Survivor organisations, including those I work with, strongly advised against this approach, warning it could compromise her safety, increase traffic to the very websites profiting from non-consensual abuse, and undermine the fight for survivor-centered legislation.
