Other users flocked to social media to air their grievances, with one tagging Virgin Media on X, saying: "Wifi issues again and unable to access any Virgin Media help as it seems nothing is working... My Virgin Media, web pages etc..." Another user made a jab at the company saying: "Oh look, Vicrgin Media is on fire again.
Another said they were "trying desperately to work from home but no internet and can't access the Virgin Media app to check the service status - just says can't connect to the Virgin Media service status even on the app.
Issues have also been reported wih Microsoft this morning, with many users struggling with "intermitent and/or slow access to Azure-hosted services" this morning and issues reported with Microsoft 365, which encompasses subscription plans allowing the use of Microsoft Office software and cloud-based software such as Skype for Business Server and others.
Some users reported that their internet had returned with 30 minutes of initially going down, while others complained of being left in the dark as they were unable to access Virgin Media's service checker.
Users have said they are "frustrated" with the disruption, as many say they are unable to "even check service status" on Virgin Media's website "as i twon't load probably due to traffic".
