Warrington Wolves have renamed that stadium in honour of darts world champion Luke Littler ahead of the new Super League season. Littler, a lifelong Wolves fan, has enjoyed a meteroic rise to fame over the past 14 months by first reaching the world championship final in his first attempt in 2024 and then becoming world champion last month. In tribute to the teenage star, Warrington, are renaming The Halliwell Jones Stadium as 'The Luke Littler Stadium' for one night only when Catalans Dragons visit on Friday, February 21.

Littler will be in attendance, with his world championship trophy, and lead the team out for the club's first home game of the season. Littler said: "It's a dream come true that the club I've been a fan of since I was young has decided to name the stadium after me for a night!. "It's an absolute honour and I can't thank the club enough.". Warrington Wolves chief executive Karl Fitzpatrick said: "Luke's achievements on the world stage have been nothing short of incredible, and we are immensely proud to celebrate his success with this special homecoming.
