A video appearing to show Kai Havertz limping badly during Arsenal’s mid-season Dubai trip has ramped up fears over the forward’s fitness as Mikel Arteta faces an injury crisis in attack.
Arsenal have since travelled back to London and Havertz is being assessed by the club’s medical staff ahead of this weekend’s meeting with Leicester.
Any significant time out for the 25-year-old would come as a major blow to Arsenal’s title hopes, with Arteta facing the possibility of going into the Leicester game with only three fit forwards.
In the meantime, footage has emerged on social media which appears to show Havertz walking gingerly towards the team bus while surrounded by club staff.
Havertz is believed to have picked up an issue during a training session on Monday, with the Gunners having flown to Dubai for a warm-weather camp over FA Cup fourth-round weekend.
