Sponsored by. WEST HAM have won the race to sign Brighton's Evan Ferguson. The Hammers have been desperate to land a striker and have agreed a loan deal for the 20-year-old despite interest from Chelsea, Everton and Bayer Leverkusen. Boss Graham Potter gave Ferguson his debut during his time at Brighton and has turned down a number of other options to reunite with the Irishman. Ferguson has been limited for game time under Fabian Hurzeler but was a late substitute in their 7-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest.

He is set for a medical in London on Sunday. West Ham have been in need of a striker after Niclas Fullkrug joined Michail Antonio on the sidelines after Potter's first game in charge. Jarrod Bowen and Crycensio Summerville have also been missing in recent weeks. Ferguson may not be the only late arrival at the London Stadium, with talks being held over a move for Lorient striker Eli Junior Kroupi. The Hammers have monitored the Frenchman for some time but face competition from Bournemouth for his signature.
