The year 2025 promises excitement and romance for all the signs. Both Venus, the planet of love, and Mars, ruling planet of passion and sex drive, make retrograde moves in the first few months of the year. This may mean some minor delays when it comes to getting what our hearts truly desire but, by the first Equinox in April, a pivotal shift from Neptune into Aries stirs a deep, volcanic passion in the ocean of our hearts.
This monumental move from the unfathomable planet of deeper feeling and romance into fiery Aries, ruled by Mars itself, comes after a key conjunction with Venus, Mars’s lover, in Pisces. Neptune and Venus seem to set a love potion bubbling as they connect with each other on the first of February. Then they use mischievous messenger planet Mercury to pass love notes back and forth through early March, arranging another encounter, back in Pisces, on the 27th.
This rare second conjunction occurs after the total lunar eclipse in Virgo on the 14th which threatens to remove those rose-tinted spectacles and replace them with a healthy dose of reality’s smelling salts. The tryst between Neptune and Venus may only be brief but it promises summer flings for everyone which may yet bear sweet fruits well into 2026 for some lucky signs – especially as Jupiter, the planet of good fortune and amplification moves into family centred Cancer in June.
Prepare for an emotional journey like no other this year as the Moon, which rules over our needs, comes to the peak of its major lunar standstill. And lunar eclipses in Virgo on March 14 and Pisces on September 7 bring moments where hearts and minds may be changed forever.
