Molly-Mae has built a career on letting the world in, and she’s not about to stop now. With her YouTube channel drawing in millions of views week after week, she commands a massive audience with tips on beauty, business and insights on life with her on-off partner Tommy Fury.

This week, the 25-year-old is taking things up a notch: the internet sensation is opening up the gates and officially inviting us in. Molly-Mae: Behind It All is an all new docuseries dropping on Prime Video later this week. There’s lots to unpack before its release. Here’s what to know.

Molly-Mae Hague first shot to fame in the 2019 season of Love Island. In it, she coupled up with Tommy Fury (the younger brother of boxer Tyson) pretty much from the beginning, and became a firm fan favourite. So much of a fan fave, in fact, that she leveraged her millions of followers upon leaving the villa to start a very lucrative career as an influencer. A million-pound deal with clothing company PrettyLittleThing followed, and in August last year she reportedly signed a seven-figure brand deal with L’Oreal.

Hague has always been transparent about her game plan, and has made it known that her stint on reality TV was less about finding love and more about securing the future she had envisioned for herself. However, her candour has also landed her in hot water: an interview which she gave on the Diary of a CEO podcast led to her being branded ‘tone deaf’ by fans and commentators on social media.

"I respect Molly Mae for making the most of her opportunity & grabbing it with both hands, but I DESPAIR at the quote about everyone having the same time in a day as Beyonce, “ BBC presenter Jess Davies tweeted at the time. "The reality is that social inequality means there'll never be an even playing field... society is not designed to give everyone equal opportunity and this is unfortunately just tone deaf straight out of a Girl Boss meme.".
