In a month traditionally filled with cutting back and staying in, the BBC is delivering a gem to make the cold January nights a little more bearable: a third season of The Traitors. We’re just a few episodes in, but this year’s series has already delivered twists which have spiced up the format.

Episode one saw three contestants leave before they had even made it to the castle, while a tweak to the challenges means the traitors have a reason to slyly lose them on purpose this time around. Some things haven’t changed, though. Claudia Winkleman is once again sporting an enviable range of luxe knits and fingerless gloves, while the contestants’ early stabs in the dark have failed to nab a traitor (though they have come very close).

The episodes will air across multiple nights a week for the rest of the month. Make sure you don’t miss a show with our guide to when they’re on. The Traitors’ schedule is slightly different to usual reality shows, which are often on every night, and also dissimilar to those of dramas, which typically air once a week.

There are 12 episodes in this year’s series and the BBC has so far announced exactly when the first nine will air, with the final three set to be confirmed when the late January schedules are confirmed within the next couple of weeks. While the first two episodes of the show aired at 8pm (and are on iPlayer if you need to catch up), the remaining instalments will air at 9pm and be an hour long.
