SCOTT Williams is one of the most exciting players on the PDC Tour, but he has also courted controversy during his career. He'll be hoping to get even further than his impressive run to the semis last year at the World Darts Championship 2025. Scott Williams was born on January 18, 1990, in Boston, Lincolnshire.

Nicknamed "Shaggy", he is currently ranked No. 37 in the world on the PDC Order of Merit. His playing style is characterised by aggressive scoring and confident finishing. Scott is known for his strong throws, accuracy and mental toughness, all of which have contributed to his high 180s count.

Scott's breakthrough came in 2022 when he achieved several significant milestones. He won his first PDC Challenge Tour title in Milton Keynes, defeating Robert Owen 5-2 in the final. Remarkably, he won a second Challenge Tour title later the same day, beating Lee Evans 5-2 in the showpiece.

But his most notable achievement of 2022 was winning the Players Championship 17, where he triumphed over Nathan Aspinall in the final. This victory was particularly significant as Scott became only the third player in PDC history to win a ranking title without holding a tour card, following in the footsteps of Joe Murnan and Krzysztof Ratajski.

The PDC World Darts Championship 2024 proved to be a defining moment in Scott's career. He made a sensational run to the semi-finals, claiming memorable victories over top players including Michael van Gerwen, Damon Heta, and Danny Noppert. His quarter-final victory over van Gerwen, winning 5-3, was particularly impressive, cementing his status as a rising star in the sport.
