Xbox is staging an indie showcase game event, ID@Xbox 2025, on Monday, February 24. The show is part of IGN’s Fan Fest and will feature the games of more than a dozen studios. One key tease is ID@XBox will be used to show off the next Balatro “collaboration” content. That indie smash hit, predominantly the work of just one developer, has already had three free Friends of Jimbo packs, which feature card deck designs tied to other games. These include Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3, Among Us and Shovel Knight.
We’ll find out if it’s time for Friends of Jimbo pack 4 this month. Perhaps we’ll get something even better. Here are the studios confirmed to be showing their wares at the event:. These names alone give us some clues as to what titles may appear. There’s Starless Abyss from No More Robots, a sci-fi strategy game that plays like a deck builder and brings in Lovecraftian elements, pitting the galaxy against Eldritch horrors in space.
Daedalic has several games listed as “coming soon” including the charming-looking Once Upon a Puppet. It’s a puzzle platformer in which you control a hand controlling a puppet character. It’s also working on The Occultist, which has been in the works for years but was given a grand unveil in August 2024. This is a horror-themed adventure in which you, as Alan Rebels, use a supernatural pendulum to guide your way.
By the time of the show, Don’t Nod’s Lost Records: Bloom & Rage will already be out. But perhaps we’ll get a fresh look at Koira, due in April. Koira is a “wholesome tale of friendship”. You explore the world and solve puzzles with your dog at your side. Are any of these games confirmed to appear at the show? No, but the event typically hosts a large number of titles. 2024’s ID@Xbox IGN show lasted around two hours, or three if you include the show’s preamble. 2025’s extravaganza is not one to miss if you enjoy your indie games over, or as well as, those AAA spotlight-stealers.
