Zendaya and Tom Holland's engagement mystery deepens as dad issues stern response

Hollywood stars Zendaya and Tom Holland sent fans into a frenzy as they appeared to announce their engagement at the Golden Globes. However, it may not all be as it seems as her father issued a very odd response to the news. Zendaya and Tom, who famously enjoy a low-key life out of the public eye, are thought to have got engaged between Christmas and New Year. The actress sparked further speculation when she flashed a stunning diamond ring on her engagement finger at the glitzy award ceremony on Sunday.
They met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016 and officially started dating in 2021. Before the proposal, Tom reportedly asked Zendaya's father Kazembe Ajamu Coleman for his blessing. Yet, he had a very different response when approached by another newspaper.
"That was a bunch of crap dealt out by TMZ," he told Daily Mail. "I don't know what you're talking about." Kazembe refused to comment further, yet has thrown doubt as to whether Tom really did propose to Zendaya. The couple are yet to make any official announcement themselves.
Fans are certain Zendaya wouldn’t have worn the ring if it wasn’t an engagement ring. One fan joked: "My mom says Zendaya is wearing an engagement ring, can we get fact-checkers on this?" But it was when fans spotted what looked to be a small tattoo of the letter ‘T’ near the top of the actress’s ribcage that they really lost it.
"Zendaya showing off a supposed engagement ring and a "t" tattoo wasn't on my golden globes bingo card but I'm loving it," another commented. The Dune star showed off the solitaire diamond on her finger, which has been valued at $500,000. Reports have claimed Tom got down on one knee after waiting months for just the right moment.
