A 'freaky but funny' horror movie that stars a Hollywood A-lister and has an unfortunate name will be coming to streaming very soon. Nightbi*** was released in cinemas in December of last year but will be available to watch on Disney+ for those with a subscription just a month after its run on the big screen. It land on the platform for viewers in the UK and Ireland on January 24.

The film is based on the novel of the same name by Rachel Yoder, which was named the best book of the year when published in 2021 by Esquire and Vulture. The film version stars Amy Adams in the lead role and her performance earned her a Golden Globe nomination along with buzz for an Oscar nod. This isn't something new for the actress, who has already received six nominations for an Academy award throughout her career, including for The Fighter and American Hustle.

Adams plays a mother who has paused her career as an artist to become a stay-at-home mother for her two-year-old son. However, as a result of her husband being away on work trips most of the time, she is responsible for the majority of the caregiving for their child.

Feeling isolated from her artistic identity and resentful of what she sees as the expectation to be friends with other mothers, she frequently fantasises about lashing out at those around her. She begins to experience surreal physical change when her nightly routine takes a surreal turn and her maternal instincts begin to manifest in canine form.
