As part of the lyrics, Sandler sang: 'But we all know that the first cast was the best,' as he mentioned the likes of Dennis Miller, Billy Crystal, and SNL creator Lorne Michaels.

At one point, the father-of-two sang: 'Six years of our boy Farley, five of our buddy Norm,' referring to comedians and former SNL cast members Chris Farley and Norm Macdonald, who are both sadly no longer alive. Sandler paused after mentioned Farley, who died in 1997 at the age of 33, and appeared to be fighting back tears before he continued with his performance. When a clip was posted on Instagram, fans were quick to share their thoughts and praised the Big Daddy actor for such a 'moving' tribute.
